Carrière au cinéma
Barry Mahon est surtout connu pour avoir réalisé et produit dans les années 1960 une quarantaine de "nudies", des films à petit budget où la plupart des femmes se présentaient nues : Cuban rebel girls (1959), dernier film interprété par Errol Flynn, Rocket attack, USA (1961), Hollywood nudes report (1963), ou encore Bunny Yeagers's nude Las Vegas (1964), film le travail de la photographe américaine Bunny Yeagers connue pour ses clichés de la célèbre pin-up Betty Page.
A la fin de sa vie, Barry Mahon feignait d'ignorer sa brillante carrière de maître américain du "nudies" (Cf. Tease magazine, n° 5).
Autres activités
Le film de John Sturges The Great escape (1962) reprend en partie les faits d'armes de l'officier Jackson Barrett Mahon lors de la seconde guerre mondiale.
